Cedar Avenue — Highway 77 — runs north from Apple Valley straight over the Minnesota River. Take it to I-494, head west, exit at France Avenue South and drop down to Old Shakopee Road.
From the western half of the city, near the Minnesota Zoo or Johnny Cake Ridge, I-35E north to I-494 west is an alternative that avoids the Cedar Avenue lights. Both land around twenty minutes.
At twelve miles this is one of the longer trips we list, so it’s worth ordering ahead rather than browsing on arrival.
